One of my favorite things about Linux is the choices in desktops.
You can even install multiple desktops and choose which one you want to run at boot up.
The proprietary operating systems don’t “allow” you to choose. With Linux, however, you have a lot of options that can match your hardware and your preferences.
For example, if you have an old underpowered computer, you can install a lightweight desktop such as XFCE. If you are running a powerful modern computer, you can run a graphics intensive beauty like KDE or Cinnamon.
